Hosting and server logs

The website and mailbox are hosted by Hitrost.com (hitrost.net) on servers in Slovenia, acting as our processor. On every visit the server automatically processes connection data such as IP address, requested URL, request time and browser information. This is necessary to deliver and protect the website (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are kept according to the hosting provider's rules and are not combined with other data.

Contact form and email

When you submit the contact form or email us, we receive your company name, email address and message. We use this only to reply to your enquiry and, if appropriate, agree on a collaboration (pre-contractual steps and legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). The enquiry is stored on the server and sent to our mailbox with the same provider. Enquiries are kept for 12 months after the last contact. If we work together, data is kept as long as needed to perform the contract and meet legal obligations. To prevent abuse, your IP address is processed in hashed form for up to two hours and is not stored with the enquiry.

Cookies and local storage

Your language choice is stored in the startai_lang cookie for up to one year; it is required for the language selection to work. Your analytics choice is stored in your browser's local storage for up to 180 days.

Optional analytics (Google Analytics 4)

Google Analytics 4 is loaded only if we enable it and you explicitly allow it (consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Analytics records website usage, such as pages viewed and form submissions, without Google signals or ad personalisation. Data may be transferred to the USA under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Data is retained in Google Analytics for 2 months. You can withdraw consent at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of the page.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Write to info@startai.at. You may lodge a complaint with the Slovenian Information Commissioner (ip-rs.si) or the supervisory authority in your country of residence, in Austria the Datenschutzbehörde (dsb.gv.at).

We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling with legal effects.
